AnyIndo - In this article we are going to share an article it is Download Cyanogenmod 12.1 For Asus Zenfone 5. You may think your Zenfone 5 needs something cool so you can show off your new rom to your friend, but you didnt find the best way to get it. Int this occasion we would like to tell you something really cool for your lovely phone, Zenfone 5. We come to satisfy you if you still need more more and more new ROM for your Zenfone 5 because you want to mod your Zenfone 5 to make it different like usually. 


Actually we had ever created an article with similar title it was Cyanogenmoed 12.1 but it was for Android One and it runs for beta only. Therefore, in this article we suprize Zenfone 5 user because this Cyanogenmod is full and special for Zenfone 5 user who needs this ROM, though this is still unofficial. Though it still has some bugs, but you can enjoy this ROM well. You can also restore your ROM to official if one day you think you get borred of this ROM. This ROM can runs on Asus Zenfone 5 T00J and T00F version.


Some bugs in this version:

  • GPS works not good

  • Memory shows always full, it means you cant install some applications but it is okay

  • Graphic glitches in some games such as Asphalt etc

  • Some application show error when install from Google Play Store and dont work even installing them from apk manually

  • Acessibility mode activated itself on setup wizard (random, not always)

  • Cannot save wifi password, you must relogin after reboot

Information:

  • ROM OS Version : 5.1.x Lollipop

  • ROM Kernel : Linux 3.10x

  • Based On : Cyanogenmod

  • Status :Nighty

  • Current Beta Version : 2.0

You just need to On USB debugging,connect your phone to PC and run cm12.1-installer.bat. And then about flashing, notice the steps bellow carefully:


Flashing the base:

1. Go to the bootloader.
2. Flash the base

Code:

fastboot flash boot-newDTW.img

fastboot erase userdata

fastboot erase cache

fastboot flash system system-DTW.img

3. Now reboot and you should have the CyanogenMod built by knonenull

For the fix:
I assume you had flashed the rom. 

Quote:

A. For the annoying storage notification problem and google sync problem and the error 504 you encounter while downloading at play store replace the build.prop in your rom from this post

I made my own flashable zip file containing the build.prop given by knonenull

B. For the graphic issue, flash this in bootloader, this should be flash as boot image.

C. For the photo save in external sdcard bug, update it here. Posted by @knoneNull here

then flash the attach file in the TWRP made by knonenull again, be sure to mount the system to work.

Note: There is an autoinstaller made by tank0412 but for those who are fond of manual flashing give it a shot. Also if this post is redundancy, and if @knoneNull and the other find it improper, I gonna delete this post.



My purpose is to guide those who are about to flash @knoneNulls build because I find the thread confusing. As myself was confuse couple of hours ago and read every pages of the thread in order to fix my problem, and to make an ease.
