After you go to recovery mode, navigate volume button to appoint what you want to, choose Wipe data cache / Factory reset. - After that find and press Mounts and storage, after that choose Format Data and Format cache. This method causes you lose your data and file.
- Done

This smartphone has 5.1 inch Super AMOLED, announced on 2014, February. According to my opinion, I like its camera because it has amazing 16 MP, 5312 x 2988 pixels. The design is really cool if you have ever hands on this smartphone.
After telling a little bit about this smartphone, let’s back to our topic to root Samsung Galaxy S5 with 2 simple methods. Actually you can find many methods to root Samsung Galaxy S5, but in this article we just want to tell you 2 methods.
We can root Samsung Galaxy S5 by using PC or without PC, it depends which one you want to use the tutorial. If you are serious want to root your Samsung Galaxy S5, let’s notice and follow the tutorial carefully bellow:
Rooting Without PC / Laptop
- Before you install application outside the Play Store, activate & checklist unknown sources on Settings > Security > device administrators.
- Download and install Towelroot.
- Run towelroot.
- Tap Make it rain.
- Wait until the process is done, and this will restart automatically.
- Install & update Supersu.
- Install Root checker to check whether your Samsung Galaxy S5 rooted successfully.
- Done.
Rooting By using PC / Laptop
Download CF-Auto-Root on its site, it is http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/(specify to your android device). Usually Samsung S5 is sm-900i, but specify it because there are some Galaxy S5 with different versions.
- Extract the file using 7zip/winrar on your PC, and run Odin3-v3.07.exe.
- Click PDA button and then browse CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltedv-smg file.
- For Samsung Galaxy S5, go to Root Mode, it is turn off the device, and then turnon by pressing Volume Up + Home + Power simultaneously. After that there will a notification to Download Mode, you can press Volume Up to continue this step.
- Connect your device to PC / Laptop via USB, if it is connected to Odin there will yellow notification.
- Click Start button on Odin, and wait until the process is completed. It will restart automatically.
- Install root checker to check whether it is rooted or not.
- If it is rooted already, means you are successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy S5.
