Back up your data and file before root your device

Framaroot – Download

Steps:

Download and install framaroot above
After it is installed, run it and choose “Install SuperSU”

Click exploit which its name “Boromir”

You will get a successful notification
Click “OK” at the successful notification and your Oppo Find Piano will reboot automatically
If there is no reboot process automatically, do it as manually
After you’re your Oppo Find Piano is on, check whether SuperSU installed on your device. If it is installed means your Oppo Find Piano has been rooted successfully
To make sure it once again,you can install “Root Checker” and check it via that application

Note:

To Unroot your Oppo Find Piano if one day you want to Unroot it, you can open SuperSu application and go to Settings after that choose Full Unroot

Use volume up button to select the option on the screen (your ASUS Memo Pad will reboot automatically)

Second Step:

Extract Me172vDumpUtil_v0.1 to your SD Card
Insert that SD Card to your ASUS Memo Pad and turn on your ASUS Memo Pad (the screen will be blue)
Use volume up button to select the option and select root (wait until the process is complete, if it is finish just unplug your SD Card and your ASUS Memo Pad will reboot automatically)
Check whether there is SuperUser application on menu of your ASUS Memo Pad, if there is that application means your ASUS Memo Pad has been rooted successfully.

How To Root Using Vroot

Download & install vRoot latest version on a windows PC.

Have a full backup of your device.

Switch on USB debugging mode on your Android device.

Have updated USB drivers and working properly.

Connect your device to the PC via USB cable.

Stay until vRoot detect your device.

Flashing and Rooting Standard Procedures

Android

Well, It is an SOP before flashing is to backup your current ROM and make a full dump rom. You can backup your current ROM with MTK Droid Tools. Or you can also backup via CWMR by holding volume up and down with power button. But I prefer using MTK Droid Tools.

Before using MTK Droid Tools, Make sure you have your USB Debugging ON and thus you should be ROOTED, because MTK Droid Tools will ask for your SuperSU access. When using MTK Droid Tools, It does not need to be that your phone has no battery and is off. You can backup your current rom using MTK Droid Tools even though if your phone is on, Just make sure that your phone has the USB Debugging Mode ON. But when using SPFT, Your phone should have no battery and is off.

Steps on how to BACKUP YOUR CURRENT ROM :

1. Download and Install MTK Droid Tools ( Latest Version if possible )
2. Extract the RAR file of MTK Droid Tools
3. Open the FOLDER of MTK Droid Tools
4. Install MTK Droid Tools ( The program which has a green icon )
5. After installing, Grab your USB cable and phone.
6. Plug in your phone and wait for a few seconds until MTK Droid Tools detect your phone.
7. After that, Go to the root,backup,recovery tab then click BACKUP.
8. BACKUP will take about 10-20 minutes or more based on how big is your data.
9. After that, a prompt or pop up will appear that says "Packing backup?" or "Pack backup?". Click YES in order for you to have the compressed RAR file of your full dump rom. ( The compressed RAR file is smaller in size than the decompressed or the folder file ) I personally prefer to keep the RAR file than the folder file.
10. There you go! Now you have your full dump rom!

Question : How will I use my full dump rom backup that I just made?

Before flashing your FULL DUMP ROM using SPFT. You should have wiped your cache, data, system and dalvik cache via CWMR. After wiping, Open SPFT then click "Firmware Upgrade" instead of "Download" then open SCATTER button then find your full dump rom folder or RAR. ( If it is RAR, extract it first ). Then open the scatter text or file. Now, make sure all of the check boxes are checked. Also make sure your phones USB Debugging Mode is in ON. Click Download beside the Stop button in the SPFT. Plug your phone then wait for a few seconds then there you go!

Steps on how to ROOT :

For V0, V1, V2 ( Jellybean ) :

1. Download and Install Framaroot 1.9.3 or any version of it. I prefer 1.9.3. Bugs fixed already.
2. Open Framaroot App, Choose Install SuperSU.
3. Tap Barahir.
3. Reboot your phone after tapping Barahir.
4. Then your phone is rooted!

For V1, V2 ( Kitkat ) : CTR means Carliv Touch Recovery.

1. Download the CTR and ROOT for KK.
2. Extract the downloaded RAR files.
3. Open SPFT.
3. Choose "Download" instead of "Firmware Upgrade".
4. Click SCATTER file from the CTR for KK.
5. Once you find it, Open.
6. Make sure the RECOVERY check box is checked.
7. Plug in your phone then wait for a few seconds.
8. Then there you go!
9. After flashing the CTR.
11. Place the ROOT.zip for KK in your SD CARD.
12. After that. Go to your phone then hold volume up and down with power button.
13. Then tap install zip then choose the ROOT.zip for KK.
14. After doing that, Reboot your phone and now you are ROOTED!

First off, let me start by saying that if you dont think you need rooting, dont root.
It can be dangerous if done wrong, so be sure you know what youre doing.
With that out of the way, lets get going then.

Actual Process:
We can use SuperOneClick or any of the following softwares for rooting our W8

Flash tool,Universal Androot ,Recovery Flasher,Easy Root,Unrevoked...use google to find them.

Download SuperOneClick.
On your phone, go to Settings -> Applications and enable Unknown Sources.
Next, go to Settings -> Applications -> Development and enable USB debugging.
You also need the proper USB drivers.(Install PC Companion to get the drivers.) To check if you have them, start SuperOneClick.exe and click Driver Check. If the driver check fails, update your phone with PC Companion.
Now, connect your USB cable from your W8 to your computer. When connected it is VERY IMPORTANT to select CHARGE PHONE.
Start SuperOneClick.exe and just click ROOT. Everything should go normally. You might get a message asking you if your OS is 2.0 or higher, just go ahead and click Yes.
You should now be rooted! :)

Note: After rooting you will have application named SuperUser in you phone which is used to allow/deny root access to other applications.

Open the folder that was extracted and click OPEN.CMD
Type this on CMD: fastboot flash update root_zenfone4_v4.2.0.zip
Enterand then wait until it is processing
Done, your zenfone 4 now is rooted.
