Installing and using Xrecovery

Xrecovery is a tool that can be used to install new Roms, backup/restore your existing ROM,apply patches,batch install applications & many more things.
Its very easy to install and use.

Files:
Xrecovery.
Root Explorer.

Installation:
1.Root your phone.
2.Install Root Explorer.
4.Copy xrecovery folder to SD card.
3.Copy 3files from "/sdcard/xrecovery" folder to "/System/bin"
4.Reboot.
5.Keep taping the back (the rightmost one) button when Sony Ericsson is displayed.
6.You will enter xrecovery menu.

Using Xrecovery:
1.To move around in xRecovery you use the volume buttons, to select an item you press the Home button (the middle one), and to go back you press the Back button.

For a moment we forget the last post about camera bug on ZenUI ROM on Xiaomi Redmi. In this article we are going to share an article about how to install Custom ROM ColorOS 2.1.0 Lollipop on Xiaomi Redmi 2, we hope that this Lollipop version is better than before (KitKat version).

This ROM uses base of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop of Oppo Find 7. According to our opinion we prefer to choose KitKat version for the display, as we know ported ROM always has problems such as flashlight on notification panel and not all the feature can work properly such features on Gesture.

Steps to Install Custom ROM ColorOS 2.1.0 Lollipop on Xiaomi Redmi 2

• Once again we remind you “your Xiaomi Redmi 2 must be upgraded on MIUI 7 Lollipop and using TWRP 3.0.0”
• Download and install ROM file “ColorOS Redmi 2
• Log into TWRP by turn off your Redmi 2 and press volume up, volume down and power button simultaneously until MI logo appears there, then you may release those buttons
• Or to make it easier you can use Quick Reboot and select Reboot Recovery
• Select Wipe and wipe to Factory Reset
• And and then “install”
• Find and select ROM_ColorOS_Lollipop_Redmi2.zip you have downloaded
• Wait until flashing process is completed
• Last step, Reboot system

How to Install CWM on Xiaomi Mi3

• Download CWM Recovery (file below in this article)

• Put it in sdcard (not in folders)

• Go to settings-about phone-update system (you can also use the updater app)

3 Download the file according to your mobile phone - Download

1.xposed-vxx-sdk21- arm64 .zip and install the custom recovery TWRP / CWM

The information for red letters

• select sdk21 when using Android 5.0,5.0.1,5.0.2 Lollipop
• select sdk22 when using Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
• select sdk23 when using Android 6.0 Marshmallow

The information for blue letters

• arm64 for 64-bit ROM
• arm for 32-bit ROM
• x86 for Intel users like zenfone 4,5,6

XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk download and install as usual

Xposed-uninstaller-20150831-xxx.zip (flashing these files if they get stuck in bootloop or Logo)

• Download framaroot above, install and run the application.

• Choose supersu and click bromier untill the popup windows that says success appears, if it doesnt appear, do it again until successfully appears

• If it is finished, just reboot your device.

Steps to root the device via zip installer:

• download Root zip installer and move it into sd-card reboot and then reboot your device to recovery mode.

• You can update supersu from Google Play.

• Update binary - normalmode.

Steps to install cwm / stock recovery oppo find clover:

• Download mobileuncle, but remember that your find clover must be rooted already as the method above. 

• Download CWM + stock recovery oppo find clover.

• Extract it into sd-card, inside the folder there are two file, they are stock and CWM. Choose one of them and then recovery.img to /sdcard/recovery.img

• Run mobileuncle application and give root permission and then go to menu after that choose update recovery on the upper side. If you put recovery.img at the right place it will be automatically detected and you can choose that recovery.img and install reboot to recovery mode.

• Done

Note:

• If you are using CWM stockrom this will be temporary, it means when it boots to CWM the only for once.

• To make it returns into recovery just move recovery.img to SD Card and then install it via mobileuncle.

• To make it permanent you can go to the systems via root explorer and find recovery file from boot .p and then delete. After that you can install CWM via mobileuncle tool.

Installing new Roms

Download ROMs.

ROMs are provided in various forms:

• Zip packages containing complete live filesystem.
• Collection of .img files.
• Flash tool .FTF files.

Note:  Before installing new ROMS: 

                  Make Backup!! - View Post.  

                  Upgrade your baseband. - View Post.

 

Installing Zip packages:

1. Copy the zip file to your memory card.
2. Boot into xrecovery.
3. Select "install custom zip". 
4. Browse to your zip file and select it.
5. Then let Xrecovery do its work. ;-)
6. Done!

Note: Make sure that the zip files are made for Xrecovery. (zip files for cwm are different)


Installing .img files:

1. Copy the folder containing "System.img","Data.img" "cache.img"  "nandroid.md5" to /xrecovery/backup folder in sdcard. [Dont rename the folder!]
2. In Xrecovery menu...goto "Backup and Restore".
3. Select restore. Then select the folder to restore.
4. Done. :)

• Wait for the flashing process to completion
• Last step, Reboot System

For first booting process it may takes rather old, just wait until your Redmi 2 turns on automatically and you already installed ZenUI ROM Lollipop on your Xiaomi Redmi 2

Steps:

• Delete SD Card partition, then choose Create

• First partition, make sure fast32 and primary, set the size as you wish (with first partition)
• Leave the second partition (you can make it 780 mb or more than this)

• Do the same step for the second partition, we tried ext2 but it doesn’t support. So, you can use fast32 for this partition)

• If you are sure, press or tap Apply

• You will see like the picture bellow

• If it is done, unplug SD Card > plug that SD Card on your Acer Liquid Z110 (we used this kinda device to be a victim).  And then you can install Link2 sd from Google Play Store.
• Go to Google Play Store > it will ask permition to access Superuser > Just Allow
• You will be asked to choose second partition > choose fast32 (depend on you created on MPWH once).
• After it is completed, there will a warning or message like on the picture bellow
• Turn off your Acer Liquid Z110 > unplug battery > plug battery > and turn on your device > open link2sd
• Press menu button (on the right side your home > choose Storage Info . Make sure that in the second partition it’s read well

Finally you can install many applications on your Acer Liquid Z110 and Acer Liquid Z120 and you don’t have to worry if it make your storage full because you have set up space for the storage.
